Swetha S
I am a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist and Audiologist with specialized training in evaluating, diagnosing, and treating pediatric communication disorders, articulation and phonological issues, fluency disorders, developmental language delays, and swallowing (dysphagia) difficulties. I currently work at Vidya Sagar (The Spastic Society), Kotturpuram, where I provide comprehensive speech and language assessments and individualized therapy for children with multiple disabilities, including cerebral palsy, developmental delays, intellectual disabilities, and autism spectrum conditions. I focus on developing functional communication, speech clarity, oral–motor skills, and alternative/augmentative communication when needed. I work collaboratively with special educators, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and families to ensure consistent, holistic intervention. In addition, I serve as an Audiologist at RSRM Government Lying-in Hospital, Royapuram, where I conduct neonatal hearing screenings, diagnostic audiological evaluations, hearing assessments, and family counselling. I assist in early identification of hearing impairments and guide parents on appropriate management and habilitation options. Across all settings, I follow an evidence-based, family-centered, and culturally sensitive approach with the goal of enhancing communication, functional independence, and overall quality of life for every client.
